Comments:
An unannounced subsidy health and safety inspection was conducted today. The inspector arrived at 11:00 AM and departed at 3:15 PM. Sixteen children were in care with two staff. Five staff/volunteer records were reviewed and a sample size of eight children's were reviewed. The emergency preparedness plan was reviewed. An exit meeting was conducted with the program director prior to closure of the inspection.

Standard #: VENDSUB-000-012-F
Description: Based upon review of five staff and volunteers who serve to meet ratio records, the facility has not ensured that staff have obtained cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification within thirty days. Evidence: Staff volunteer 5, who began volunteering on 9/12/2016 and who, according to the program director is used to meet required staff/child ratio, does not have current CPR certification.

Plan of Correction: The facility responded with the following: CPR certification training will be obtained by staff volunteer 5.

Description: Based upon review of the facility's shelter-in-place procedures, the procedures do not include procedures to address reuniting children with parents or authorized person designated by the parent to pick up the child. Evidence: 1. The shelter-in-place procedures provided do not include procedures to address reuniting children with parents or authorized person designated by the parent to pick up the child.

Plan of Correction: The facility responded with the following: Procedures to address reuniting children with parents or authorized person designated by the parent to pick up the child will be added to the shelter-in-place procedures.
