An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today with the director, who was present with two additional staff and 24 children. The children were washing their hands at the beginning of the inspection, they transitioned to eating their afternoon snack ( cheese sticks, gold fish and water) and then returned to the bathroom to wash their hands. Two children had medications on site. Three staff and six children's files were reviewed today. Arrival time: 4:10 pm Departure time: 5:20 pm
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-190-A Description: Based on a review of three staff files, it was determined that there was no education/experience/training information in the file to support that the director is qualified for the position. Evidence: Staff A was hired on 8/23/1994 and there was no supporting documentation to show this staff meets the qualifications as director. Plan of Correction: I will obtain the information from the office and keep a copy in the file on site.
