A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection was conducted on August 22nd 2017 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 38 children in the direct care of 7 staff members. Children were observed napping, playing on the playground, being fed, and being diapered. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-012-B Description: Based upon interview, staff have not completed the Virginia Pre-service Training. Evidence: The owner stated that the 11 staff have not completed the Pre-service training. Plan of Correction: We will no longer be using the subsidy program. Will be contacting someone to discontinue my vendor contract.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-031-A Description: Based on interview, the center does not have all components completed for the emergency preparedness plan. Evidence: The center does not currently have a lockdown procedure in place. Plan of Correction: We will no longer be using the subsidy program. Will be contacting someone to discontinue my vendor contract.
