An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on this date on August 31, 2017. At the time of entrance there were 17 children and 8 staff members present. Additional staff were on site for administrative purposes and program support. The sample size consisted of 5 children's records and 5 staff records. Children were observed eating breakfast and reading. The inspection began at approximately 8:05 a.m. and ended at 11:30 a.m. The inspection results were reviewed with the assistant center director during the exit interview. Standard #: VENDSUB-000-012-E Description: Based on a record review and vendor interviews, the vendor did not ensure all staff providing care to children had within 30 days of the date of employment (CPR) appropriate to the age of children in care and a current certification in first aid. Evidence; During the inspection August 31, 2017, the record for staff #2 (date of hire (DOH) 5-30-2017), staff #3 (DOH 5-1-2017) and staff #4 (DOH 7-10-2017) did not have documentation of obtaining the CPR and first aid training . Plan of Correction: The assistant center director will ensure they attend the already scheduled traing on September 7, 2017.
