The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced subsidy health and safety inspection Monday, August 28, 2017 from 11:15am to 2:00pm. The infants were observed playing on the floor with their teachers, resting and being fed. The toddlers were observed resting on mats. Lunch today consisted of chicken nuggets, green beans, peaches and milk. The menu was posted. All classrooms and playgrounds were inspected today. Five children?s records and five employee records were reviewed during this inspection. The center administers medication and it was reviewed. The center's first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected. Last emergency drill: 07/14/2017 Last Shelter-in-place drill: 05/25/2017 Last fire inspection: 08/28/2017 Last health inspection: 06/30/2017 Total enrollment today: 26 Today, the following child to staff ratios were observed: Infant I (6 weeks to 12 months) ?11:3 Infant II (12-14 months) ?5:2 Toddler I (15-17 months)-6:2 Toddler II (18-24 months)- 4:1 School Age ?not present A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
