An unannounced monitoring inspection was completed on August 29, 2017. The purpose of this visit was to measure compliance with most, but not all, of the licensing standards. There were 56 children, infant to school age, in care at the time of the inspection. There were 11 staff members working with the children in their classrooms. All groups were within the proper ratio. The children throughout the facility were engaged in activity. The infants were playing on the floor or sitting in activity seats. The Toddlers were eating lunch. Children in the 2 year old through four year old classes were eating lunch and watching educational programming. Staff was observed interacting with the children and providing assistance when needed. All areas of the center including classrooms, hallways, bathrooms and playgrounds were inspected. The facility was equipped with manipulatives and supplies and items were available to the children. The following information was reviewed: fire and shelter-in-place drills, liability insurance policy, parent agreements, and staff training information. Medication is administered and four staff persons have MAT training. The first aid and emergency supplies were also inspected. Fourteen staff persons have first aid and CPR. The playground could not be inspected due to weather conditions.
