A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on September 8, 2017 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 52 children in care, ages infant through 4 years, with 13 staff and 3 administrators. Seven children's files and 7 staff files were reviewed. There were no medications being administered. Emergency response procedures were in place. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. A violation was found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and is identified on the violation notice. Inspection began: 10:20 Inspection ended:
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-012-E Description: Based on a review of 7 staff records, 3 staff did not have documentation of current first aid and CPR certification. Evidence: Staff # 3 who had been employed since May 2017 did not have documentation of current first and CPR certification. The most recent certification for first aid and CPR for Staff # 4 expired February 2017. Staff # 7 who had been employed since March 2017 did not have documentation of current first aid and CPR certification. Plan of Correction: A class has been scheduled for September 16, 2017 for staff to obtain the certification.
