Thank you for your assistance during this unannounced renewal inspection. This on-site visit was conducted on September 12, 2017 from 10:40 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. On this date, there were one-hundred ninety (190) children in the care of thirty-eight (38) staff members in eighteen classrooms. There were ten (10) children's records and fourteen (14) staff records reviewed and updated. The medication and medication paperwork was reviewed for four (4) children. Areas of non-compliance may be found on the violation page of this inspection. Areas observed were educational center activities, story time, music, hand washing/bathroom and diapering procedures, transition, outside play, lunch, infant feeding, nap and departure. Lunch was observed to meet USDA guidelines and consisted of fish sandwich, applesauce, corn, and milk. All interactions between staff and the children were appropriate and the children seemed comfortable with the daily routine. Children have been completing seasonal activities and artwork is displayed throughout the center. There are a wide variety of age/stage materials for the children in care. Please contact me if you have questions concerning this inspection, the licensing standards, and/or if I may be of assistance to you (540) 430-9256.
