Two's : eleven children with two staff : The children were outside playing, Once they returned to the classroom, the staff began preparing the children for lunch and nap. Three's: fifteen children with two staff: The children were having circle time singing songs and taping to the beat of the music. Later they worked on making the letter "A" out of popsicle sticks, built with blocks and read books. Pre-K: nine children with one staff: The children were practicing writing the letters "Ff" and "Ll". They also were building with blocks and legos. The last practice evacuation drill was conducted 8/4/17. Ten children's records and ten staff records were inspected. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-006-B-11 Description: Based on inspection of children's records, the center did not ensure each child with a diagnosed food allergy had a written allergy care plan which includes instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic to and steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction. Evidence: Child #2 and Child #9 have food allergies listed on their records, but do not have a written allergy care from a physician. Plan of Correction: Per Center: " Both families have been provided the proper paperwork and have both failed to return it. We will follow up and ensure proper documentation is on file."
