An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted with education specialist/acting director and center staff. There were 91 children present, ranging in age from 3 months to 12 years old. The children were having rest time, afternoon snack, having free play activities, and arriving from school. Snack served today: bananas and wheat thin crackers. The children's artwork is nicely displayed throughout the facility. Four children's files and one new staff file were reviewed and are in compliance. Two emergency medications for two children were reviewed and are in compliance. The last health inspection was conducted 8/15/2017. The last fire inspection was conducted 10/11/2016 - please call to schedule the annual inspection. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B Description: Based on observation, the facility failed to lock all hazardous substances such as cleaning materials. Evidence: in the twos classroom, there was a bottle of sanitizer in an unlocked upper cabinet. Plan of Correction: The cabinet was locked during today's inspection.
