- Technical Assistance:
*Staff under the age of 18 must be under the sight and sound supervision of an adult staff member. **VA Preservice training can be counted as annual training one time. It can also count towards the 24 hours of lead teacher training. Please notify your inspector of suspension or termination of services for more than 24 hours as a result of an emergency. Please notify your inspector ?preferably in writing ? of any serious injuries sustained at the facility. Serious injuries are defined as an injury sustained while in day care that resulted in the child getting outside medical treatment.
An unannounced subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted with the center director and center staff. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date (see that report for details). There are currently 20 staff employed by the facility. All staff have documentation of the mandatory VA Preservice Training and are currently certified in first aid and CPR. There are no children with diagnosed food allergies currently enrolled. The emergency preparedness plan was reviewed for reunification plans and lockdown procedures. Reminder: evacuation drills are required monthly, shelter in place drills are required twice a year, and a lockdown drill is required once a year. Lockdown drills are to isolate children and staff from a security threat; shelter in place is to protect children from a natural or manmade threat. If you have any questions regarding this inspection, please contact me at email@example.com. If you have specific questions regarding the subsidy program, visit our website at http://www.dss.virginia.gov/family/cc/assistance_providers.cgi
A compliance history is in no way a rating for a facility.
The online compliance history includes only information after July 1, 2003. In addition, the online compliance history includes information regarding adverse actions that may be the subject of a pending appeal. An adverse action is not final until a provider has exhausted or waived all due process rights. For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information. The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) is not responsible for any errors in or omissions from the compliance history information.
