Comments:
Licensing Inspector arrived at 900am and departed at 11:30am to conduct a monitoring Inspection. At the time of the tour there were 51 children in care with 12 staff present. Children were observed on the playground and playing in learning centers. Infants were observed in cribs, on play mats and being held by staff. A sample of 7 staff and 5 children's records were reviewed in addition to 5 medications.

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-560-F
Description: Based on observation the center failed to ensure all requirements were met when providing meals or snacks. Evidence: The menu posted in the lobby was dated 09/11/17 - 09/15/2017

Plan of Correction: The cook changed the menu out during the inspection.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-570-I
Description: Based on observation the center failed to ensure all required emergency items were maintained at the center for infants. Evidence: The emergency supplies for the infants did not include a one-day's supply of bottles and nipples. There was no water to make the powdered formula in the event of an emergency.

Plan of Correction: The director will add all required items to the infant emergency supplies kit.
