An unannounced monitoring inspection was initiated today at 3:30pm. The physical plant, 5 children's files, children's activities, emergency procedures, drills and supplies were inspected today. There were 46 children under the supervision of 4 staff. During the inspection, children were observed reading books, working on homework, coloring pictures and playing outside on the playground area. The interactions between the children and staff were seen to be positive and constructive in nature. Today, the children were served yogurt and apple juice for snack. The Site Supervisor is certified in MAT (medication administration training). Staff files are not reviewed on site, but during an annual administrative file review. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-540-E Description: Based on observations, the battery operating radio was not in working condition. Evidence 1. The battery in the radio was dead, therefore it would not work. Plan of Correction: The Site Supervisor will get a new battery.
