An unannounced monitoring inspection was completed on September 20, 2017. The purpose of this visit was to measure compliance with the licensing standards. There were 41 preschool aged children in care at the time of the inspection. There were 7 staff members working directly with the children in their classrooms. All groups were within the proper ratio. The children throughout the facility were engaged in activity. The EC-3 and PreK -5 classes were playing outside on the playground. The PreK-4 class was sponge painting squares and rectangles and cutting with scissors to improve fine motor skills. The PreK-3 class had just finished leaf print painting and was preparing to go outside to the playground. Staff was observed interacting with the children and providing assistance when needed. All areas of the center including classrooms, hallways, bathrooms and playgrounds were inspected. The facility was equipped with manipulatives and supplies and items were available to the children. Last documented health inspection: 5/24/2017 Last documented fire inspection: 6/29/2017 During the inspection, 5 children's records and five staff records were reviewed.
