T.A. was given on supervision and maintaining ratio.
The inspector conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection from 3:00 p.m. until 5:30. There were 38 children in care upon arrival. Three staff were present. Children were observed having a bathroom break, having a snack, playing outside, and inside play. Five children's records and three staff records were reviewed. Violations from the last inspection have been corrected. No medications are being administered. Violations are identified on the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B Description: Based on observation, the center did not keep all hazardous substances locked. Evidence: 1. The inspector observed six clorax wipe containers and one spray bottle labeled bleach water on the microwave stand on the far wall in the cafeteria where the program is held in the school. Plan of Correction: The director will talk with school staff to come up with a plan to lock up with the hazardous substances.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-350-C Description: Based on observation, the center did not maintain the required ratio. Evidence: 1. Upon arrival at the center there were 38 children in care and three staff supervising. There was one child who was 4 yr. olds therefore the ratio is one to ten. Plan of Correction: The director will meet with the supervisors to come up with a plan to maintain ratio at all times.
