- Technical Assistance:
Transition from snack into activities requires active supervision and discussed waiting time to transition into another activity.
An unannounced inspection was conducted from 4 00- 540. The Inspector arrived to find the children in the cafeteria preparing for snack. The children were then split and at one point there were 61 children with the staff. THE CS was absent today but staff were able to answer questions. The drills were reviewed, menu, attendance, and program were observed and some children were working on their homework. Please call with questions703-479-4679
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on record review of 6 children's files, it was determined the program has not maintained complete files. Evidence: 1. The 6 children's files all are recorded as having medical issues or food allergies. Child #2, #3, and #1 do not have a plan of action in the event the children come into contact with the allergen. 2. Child #1 does not contain a physical report. Plan of Correction: Not available online. Contact Inspector for more information.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-500-A Description: Based on observation, it was determined that the children did not wash their hands after eating snack. Evidence: 1. Children were observed getting the snack, sitting down to eat the snack, and then get up and throw their trash away. During this time, the children were given choices on where to line up and the children waiting in the cafeteria did not wash their hands. Plan of Correction: Not available online.
