EMAT medication administration training for emergency medications only was discussed with the program director.
An unannounced, mandated monitoring inspection was conducted today. The inspector arrived at 1:30 PM and departed at 4:05 PM. After school arrivals, activities and snack service were observed. Twenty-seven children had arrived prior to the end of the inspection. Additional bussed children had not yet arrived from public school. A sample size of eight children's records and nine staff records were reviewed. Medication administration and injury records were reviewed. It was reported that, due to broken equipment and lack of resilient surfacing, the playground is not being used. Children are using the grassy area near the playground for outdoor play. An exit meeting was conducted with the program director prior to closure of the inspection.
Standard #: 22VAC40-80-120-E-2 Description: Based upon observation, the facility has not ensured that the findings of the most recent inspection of the facility are posted. Evidence: The findings of the inspection conducted on 1/19/17 were posted, however the findings of the most recent inspection that was completed on 10/6/2017 were not posted. Plan of Correction: The facility responded with the following: The findings of the inspection completed on 10/6/2017 were posted during the inspection, followed by posting of the acknowledgement form from today's inspection. The final print-out of today's inspection will be posted when received.
