You are reminded that the gates to your outdoor playground will need to be installed prior to the opening of your center.
An announced Initial Inspection was conducted this date. Met with owner and director of the center. Walk thru of physical plant was conducted which included the outside playgrounds. Staff qualifications, background checks, policies and procedures and liability insurance verified. CPR/First Aid, MAT and daily health training was determined complete. Classrooms were measured for space calculations on 09/22/2017 during a consultative visit to determine capacity. Rooms are filled with supplies, equipment, and age appropriate activities for children. Emergency evacuation maps, first aid kits, cribs and cots were in place and determined compliant. The center is prepared to begin enrolling children once the gates to your playground areas are installed. Many areas of the regulations could not be evaluated for compliance due to no children in care at this time. This inspection began at 10:15am and ended at 11:45am. Please feel free to email me at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-540-A Description: Based on review of the center's first aid kits, the kits were not complete. Evidence: The first aid kits located on the first and second floors did not have a battery operated radio, an assortment of band aids and antiseptic cleaner. Plan of Correction: The center will obtain these missing items today prior to opening.
