Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was initiated today at 11:50am. The physical plant, 5 staff files, 5 children's files, annual fire inspection, staff training, child nutrition, children's activities, medications, emergency procedures, drills and supplies were inspected today. There were 40 children under the supervision of 5 staff. During the inspection, children were observed preparing for and eating lunch, enjoying free play and listening to a teacher read a book. For lunch, the children were served breaded chicken nuggets, mixed vegetables, cantaloupe and milk. The interactions between the children and staff were seen to be positive and constructive in nature. There are currently 2 staff certified in MAT (medication administration training). Should you have any questions, please contact me at mary.wizbicki@dss.virginia.gov.
