- Technical Assistance:
Technical assistance today included organization of medications and authorizations.; and transportation with a child with allergies.
An unannounced subsidy inspection took place today between 9:30 - 11 am. There were 47 children present in their rooms with 9 staff. I observed children busy with morning routines and outdoors. This inspection, combined with the subsequent monitoring inspection, meets the requirements for the SSHI inspection. If you have any questions, please contact me at email@example.com
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-006-B-11 Description: Based on a review of children's records and medications; and staff confirmation, there was not a written allergy care plan for each child with an allergy and steps to take in the event of an allergic reaction. Evidence: According to documentation, Child # 1 and 2 were reported to be allergic to bee stings; but there is no written plan of action in the event of a bee sting. There was no action to take listed for Child # 3, with a documented allergy to peanuts and eggs; and Child #4, with a documented allergy/intolerance to four specific foods. Plan of Correction: We are continuing to get the documentation for all of the students to determine the plan of action for each child. Parents will be contacted today, although we have already started.
