An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today, October 26, 2017 to determine the center's compliance with licensing standards. The inspection was initiated at 2:20pm and concluded at 4:30pm. Upon arrival, the following ratios were observed:
Infant room: 4 infants/ 1 staff
Toddler room: 5 toddlers/ 1 staff
Two year olds room: 5 children/ 1 staff
Three year olds room: 8 children/ 1 staff
Children were observed sleeping, interacting with staff, playing with toys, and departing for the evening. Children's books, toys, and equipment were inspected and found to be age appropriate and in operable condition. All classrooms were inspected to include main hallways and children's restrooms. The blacktop area used for outdoor play was inspected with no hazards found.
The center had the following postings displayed upon entering the center. The center's first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected with additional supplies found. Seven children's records and two staff records were inspected with the required information present. The following was also inspected: fire/health inspections, fire/shelter-in-place drills, parent agreements, and other pertinent information.
