An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted with acting director, district director, and center staff. There were 36 children present, ranging in age from 7 months to 5 years old, with seven staff actively supervising. The children were writing in journals, eating lunch, and preparing for rest. Lunch served today: ravioli, salad, orange slices, and milk. Please continue to gently remind children to sit while eating and finish food at the table. Five emergency medications for four children were reviewed and are in compliance. The last health inspection was conducted 6/26/2017. The last fire inspection was conducted 5/22/2017. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-500-B Description: Based on observation, the facility failed to have a leakproof receptacle for soiled linens. Evidence: the soiled linens container did not have a liner and was open at the bottom. Plan of Correction: A liner was placed in the soiled linens basket during today's inspection.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-D Description: Based on review of monthly evacuation drill log, the facility failed to conduct a evacuation drill each month as required. Evidence: there was no evacuation drill conducted July 2017 or September 2017. Plan of Correction: ** Two drills were conducted in August and two drills were conducted in October.
