A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on (11/7/17) to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 10:50am-2:00pm. There were 30 children (infants-12yrs.) directly supervised by 5 staff. The physical plant, 5 staff records, 5 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, doing puzzles, playing , eating lunch and transitioning into naptime. Lunch consisted today of beef macaroni with tomato sauce, broccoli and pineapples. There was an abundant supply of materials for the children. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Standard #: VENDSUB-000-006-B-11 Description: Based on record review, a child with a diagnosed food allergy did not have a written allergy care plan. Evidence: Child#1 has a diagnosed food allergy, an Epipen Jr is kept on-site, the child's file and the medication authorization form were reviewed. Neither contained a written allergy care plan. Plan of Correction: An allergy care plan will be requested today.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-031-B-3 Description: Based on record review of emergency procedures, the emergency preparedness plan did not contain all required information. Evidence: The emergency preparedness plan did not include lockdown procedures. Plan of Correction: The lockdown procedures will be added to the emergency preparedness plan.
