A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted from 6:45 am - 8:25 am. There were 26 children in care being supervised by 3 staff members. The children were observed participating in structured center play, cooperative games, and preparing for breakfast. Breakfast served today is cherry star vegetable juice, applesauce, ham and cheese croissant, cereal bar and milk. Ten children's records were reviewed and in compliance. Three staff records were reviewed and in compliance. The most recent emergency escape drill was conducted 11/15/17 and the most recent shelter in place drill, and Lock down drill was conducted 9/18/17. There are no medications being administered to children in the facility at this time. There are currently two staff members on site who are MAT (Medication Administration Training) certified. Children's Allergies were reviewed and posted. All staff on site are currently in certified in CPR and First Aid training as well as the Virginia Pre-Service Training. The injury report log was reviewed and in compliance. The emergency preparedness plan was reviewed and in compliance. The first aid kit, flashlight, and radio were observed and in compliance.
