Staff must understand the importance of arriving on time. Discussed with the Director: Checking with parent about one child who has an Epipen but no information as to why and one child who has allergies but no Epipen although it is listed on the physical as needed.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted beginning at 6:00 a.m. and ending at 7:30 a.m. There were 19 children present, ages 5 - 10. Children were observed playing basketball and making a Thanksgiving craft. Reviewed 6 children's files - complete Reviewed 5 staff files - complete Reviewed medications for 9 children - complete Emergency escape drills, shelter in place drills and LockDown drills are up to date. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-340-C Description: Based on observation, it was determined that the program opened for children at 6:00 a.m. with only one staff person present. Evidence: On 11/16/17, the Li arrived at the site at 6:00 a.m. The Director was present with two school age children. The other two staff arrived at 6:10 a.m.. Plan of Correction: The Director will speak to the staff about the importance of being on time. Area Manager has been notified.
