VENDSUB-000 STAFF QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING
VENDSUB-000 SPECIAL CARE PROVISIONS AND EMERGENCIES
Licensing inspector arrived at 10:00 am and departed at 12:30pm to conduct a licensing inspection and a Subsidy Health and Safety inspection. At the time of the tour there were thirteen children in care with 4 staff . Additional staff were present to assist in the classrooms. Children were observed freely playing. The sample size consisted of 5 children records and 5 staff records. Areas of non-compliance was reviewed with the director.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-005-B Description: Based on record review and interview, the vendor did not ensure for each group of children, the vendor maintained a written record (hard copy) of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs. Evidence: There was not documentation of arrival and departure in each grouping of each child in care. Confirmed with staff. The center had a sign in and out book for the children enrolled but some children did not have arrival time. In each grouping of children, there was not attendance sheet which showed arrival and departure. The center director was correcting the forms for November. Plan of Correction: The center director will have arrival and departure daily attendance in each classroom.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-031-A Description: Based on and interview and review of procedures, the vendor did not have emergency preparedness plan for lock down, reunification for evacuation, shelter in place and lockdown and accommodations or special requirements for infants, toddlers, and children with special needs to ensure their safety during shelter-in-place, lockdown and evacuation. Evidence: During the subsidy inspection conducted on November 8, 2017, the vendor did not have lockdown procedures. The vendor did not have procedures for reuniting children with parents or authorized person designated by the parent to pick up the child for evacuation , shelter in place and lockdown and accommodations or special requirements for infants, toddlers, and children with special needs to ensure their safety during shelter-in-place, lockdown and evacuation. Plan of Correction: The center director will update the emergency preparedness plan to include all vendor requirements.
