A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on November 21, 2017 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were sixty children in care with eight teachers working directly with them. There were two other staff members available to assist as needed. Six children's records were reviewed. The record for six teachers were reviewed. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. A violation was found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection. The violation is identified on the violation notice.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-006-B-11 Description: Based on record review and interview the facility failed to have a written allergy plan for one child in care with a food allergy. Evidence: 1. On 11/21/2017 the licensing inspector and staff #1 reviewed the record for child #1. There was no written allergy plan for the child who has a diagnosed food allergy. Plan of Correction: I will contact the parent today and request a written allergy plan for child #1. I would like documented that this child is not a full-time child in care.
