A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 11/29/2017 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 61 children, infant to preschool age, in care at the time of the inspection. There were 12 staff members working directly with the children in their classrooms. All classrooms maintained the proper ratio. The children throughout the facility were engaged in activity. The infants were having tummy time and napping. The toddlers were painting reindeer antlers. The twos and the pre-k class were outside playing on their separate playgrounds. The preschool class was playing with playdoh, trucks, dinosaurs and other toys during free choice activities. For lunch, the children were served a beef patty with cheese on a whole wheat bun, carrots, potato wedges and milk. Staff was observed interacting with the children and providing assistance when needed. The facility was equipped with manipulatives and supplies and items were available to the children. Medication is administered and multiple staff has MAT training. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found. Last documented health inspection: 11/13/2017 Last documented fire inspection: 2/15/17 During the inspection, 6 children's records and five staff records were reviewed. Approximate time on site: 10:18am to 1:00pm
