A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted from 2:45 PM to 6:30 PM for the purpose of reviewing supplemental health and safety requirements. Today, there were twenty-six children, ages five through eleven years, supervised by two to three staff after school. I viewed compliance with operational responsibilities, record keeping, children's information, staff training, hazardous substances, behavior guidance, hand washing, emergency drills, emergency planning, nutrition and food service. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. A violation was found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection and is identified on the violation notice. Let me know if you have any questions. 540/430-9259
