Comments:
An unannounced Renewal inspection was conducted this date. A total of 25 children with 4 staff were present on site. Observation of programming was made in both classrooms. Children were observed making reindeer decorations with staff, playing with home made playdoh and free play in the three year old classroom. In the four year old classroom, children were observed cleaning up from free play, a nice transition to circle time where they reviewed the day of the week and today's weather was made and staff read a holiday book to the children which encouraged conversation about the holiday season. Ornaments made out of butttons, holiday tree greeting cards were on display and the children were preparing to transition to outdoor play. The center was decorated with lots of crafts completed by the children. A total of 5 children's records and 5 staff records were reviewed. Verification of MAT, CPR/First, daily health and emergency contacts was made for all staff. Note: Staff files are reviewed on an annual basis by representatives from the Commonwealth of Virginia, Department of Social Services, Division of Licensing, Fairfax Licensing Office and through the County of Loudoun, Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services? main office located in Ashburn, Virginia. Any observed standards found to be out of compliance would be cited in a violation notice issued at that time. Thank you for your cooperation today.
