An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 10:20 - 12:35 pm. There were 34 children present in two classrooms with 5 staff. I observed children listening to a seasonal story; observing art techniques in circle time and eating lunch. The environment was filled with learning opportunities indoors and outside. If you have any questions, please contact me at email@example.com
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A Description: Based on observation today, there were some areas of the center not maintained in a safe condition. Evidence: The fence surrounding the air conditioning unit outdoors was observed to have splintering wood at child height today. Plan of Correction: We will notify the person who takes care of that for the church to be sanded or replaced. For now, duct tape will be placed on it.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-280-B Description: Based on observation today, there were hazardous substances stored in an unlocked place during the inspection. Evidence: The latch was observed to be unlocked for the janitor's closet today where cleaners and detergents were present. Plan of Correction: A new sign was written in red capital bilingual writing to remind all to keep the closet latched. It will be checked on a regularly basis.
A compliance history is in no way a rating for a facility.
The online compliance history includes only information after July 1, 2003. In addition, the online compliance history includes information regarding adverse actions that may be the subject of a pending appeal. An adverse action is not final until a provider has exhausted or waived all due process rights. For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information. The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) is not responsible for any errors in or omissions from the compliance history information.
