Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on December 14, 2017, between the hours of approximately 9:55 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., to review the supplemental health and safety requirements. Fifty-three (53) children were enrolled and nineteen (19) children were in the care of four staff, on this date. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date; the two inspections combined covered all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that were not covered in the licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection. One violation was cited during the supplemental health and safety inspection and identified on the accompanying violation notice. Thank you for your time and assistance during this subsidy health and safety inspection. Please contact me if you have questions regarding this inspection, the subsidy requirements and/or if I may be of assistance to you.

Violations:
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-005-B
Description: Based on observation, review of attendance records and discussion with staff, the program failed to maintain a written record of daily attendance that documented the arrival and departure of each child as it occurred. Evidence: 1. Review/observation of written daily attendance records determined that staff members were documenting attendance but not daily departure, as it occurred. 2. Staff #1 confirmed the current method of daily written attendance.

Plan of Correction: Staff #2 acknowledged that the written attendance system of documentation was discussed, but the policy implemented was not followed. Staff members will be re-trained to maintain a written record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child as it occurs.
