Comments:
Today an unannounced monitoring visit was conducted with the Director. This visit took place in the morning between 9:45am-12 there were 5 classrooms with a total of 97 children with 16 staff within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed actively engaged in self-selected activities such as learning about the artics, making penguins, counting, reading, story-time, learning about continents/map, lunch and nap time. Positive interactions were observed during this inspection. A complete inspection of the physical plant, fire drill log, medications and emergency procedures were observed during this inspection. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A
Description: Based on observation of the physical plant, the following areas were found not being maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition. Evidence: In the preschool classroom, rust was found along the bathroom partition.

Plan of Correction: Director stated that it will be repainted during the holiday break and before the children return to school.

Standard #: 22VAC40-185-290-3
Description: Based on observation, two outlets did not have protective covers. Evidence: One outlet in the classroom across from the office were observed without protective cover.

Plan of Correction: Director corrected during this inspection.
