An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today, December 18, 2017 to determine compliance with licensing standards. The Inspector initiated the inspection at 12:30 pm and concluded the inspection at 2:30 am. Upon the inspector's arrival there were 13 children in care with three staff. Children were napping on their matts. Later children had bathroom breaks and washed their hands before sitting down to snack. Children listened to the story "I love You Because You're You" and then identified all the parts of a book. Staff reviewed colors and shapes with the children before the children started their art project. Today's art consisted of making green footprints to form a triangle tree. The classroom has age and stage appropriate materials and supplies. The parent board had the required information posted to include the license, last inspection notice, emergency numbers, evacuation maps/ procedures, menu, daily schedule and various parent information. The facility's first aid kit and non-medical emergency supplies were inspected and found complete. The inspector interacted with staff and children in care. Three staff records and five children's records were reviewed. Staff have current CPR, first aid, daily health observation and MAT. Medications are administered by the public school nurse. Injury reports reviewed. The most recent evacuation drill was documented on 12/05/2017. One of the two shelter-in-place drills was conducted on 09/28/2017. Health Inspection 03/15/2017 Fire Inspection 05/11/2017 Today's lunch consisted of cheeseburger on a bun, corn, mixed fruit and milk. The violation cited at the previous inspection on May 8, 2017 were checked for corrections. There were no repeat violations cited during today's inspection.
