Technical Assistance:
Discussion of the subsidy regulations and how they apply to the Child Day Center (CDC). Discussion was also had with regards to the expansion of the center's reunification procedures.

Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted at the KinderCare Learning Center #875 located in Springfield, Virginia. This inspection was conducted on 01/18/2018, between the hours of 10 am through 4 pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. An Unannounced Monitoring licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. If you should have any future questions, please call. Standard #: VENDSUB-000-031-B-3
Description: Based on review, lockdown procedures were not included within the center's Emergency Preparedness Plan (EPP). Evidence - 1. On the date of inspection (01/18/2018), the EPP did not include procedures to take in the event of a lockdown. 2. The Center Director confirmed this observation on the date of inspection.

Plan of Correction: Lockdown procedures shall be developed, placed in the center's EPP, and practiced on an annual basis. Such practices shall be documented.
