The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced Subsidy Health and Safety inspection Friday, January 26, 2018 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The children were observed resting on cots. Later they were observed getting ready for snack and having story time. Snack consisted of crackers and milk. The menu is posted. All classrooms and playgrounds were inspected today as well as the facility?s mini buses. Five children?s records and five employee records were reviewed during this inspection. The center administers medication and it was reviewed. The center's first aid kit and emergency supplies were inspected. Last emergency drill: 01/26/2018 Last shelter-in-place drill: 01/18/2018 Last lockdown drill: 01/18/2018 Last fire inspection: 01/03/2018 Last health inspection: 04/20/2017 Total enrollment today: 53 Today, the following child to staff ratios were observed: Infants ?4:1 Toddlers ?11:1 (rest time ratio) Twos ? 15:1(rest time ratio) Threes ?14:2(rest time ratio) Pre-K-9:1(rest time ratio) School Age ?8:1 A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
