- Technical Assistance:
On 2/2/18 an unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted at 9:30 a. m. and concluded at 1:15 p. m. The inspector met with staff and Child Day Center standards were reviewed.
The following staff-to-child ratio was observed today:
Young Toddler (ages 12m-2yr): There were three children with two staff. The children and staff were at the table playing with play dough.
Older Toddler (ages 16m-2yr): There were three children with two staff. The children were observed playing outside and then later in the classroom working on a craft.
Two Year Room: There were eight children with two staff. The children were preparing to go outside.
Three Year Room: There were ten children with two staff. The children were sitting down and having story time.
Four-Five Year Room: There were nine children with two staff. The children were engaged in activities.
Half-Day Preschool (ages 3-5yr) There were six children with two staff. The children had been working on crafts.
Snack consisted of tangerines and crackers.
Medication procedures were checked for four children.
Ten staff files were reviewed.
Ten children's records were reviewed.
Conversations were held with several staff and children.
All classrooms were observed today.
