Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on January 31, 2018 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. At the time of inspection, 23 school age children were directly supervised by 4 staff and ratios were in compliance. The sample size consisted of 5 children records and 4 staff records including CPR, First Aid certification, and Virginia Pre-Service Training. Children were observed during arrival, engaged in board games, and transitioning to the gymnasium. The children's artwork and projects were displayed throughout both classrooms. Medications, paperwork, and student files were organized. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
