An unannounced subsidy health and safety inspection was conducted in conjunction with a Licensing Monitoring Inspection. The inspection began at 3:30 and ended at 6:30. There were 30 children in care with 5 staff. Reviewed staff and childrens files - see violation notice. Reviewed emergency procedures - see violation notice. Standard #: VENDSUB-000-012-E-1 Description: Based on a review of 3 staff files, it was determined that one staff person did not have CPR within 30 days of employment. Evidence: Staff A, with a start date of October 10, 2017, has not yet had CPR Training. Plan of Correction: All Staff will have CPR and First Aid Training within 30 days .
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-012-E-2 Description: Based on a review of three staff files, it was determined that one staff person did not have First Aid training within 30 days of hire. Evidence: Staff A, with a start date of 10/10/17, does not have First Aid Training. Plan of Correction: All staff will have First Aid and CPR within 30 days of starting.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-031-A Description: Based on a review of the Emergency Preparedness Plan, it was determined that the Plan was not complete. Evidence: The Plan does not contain reunification with parent plans for all types of emergencies and also does not have any plans for Lockdown. Plan of Correction: The Branch Manager is working on the procedures and will email it to the Licensing Inspector within 10 day.
