Discussed changes to fingerprinting.

Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 9:30 am-12:15. There were a total of 67 children with 13 staff members present. Children were engaged in group activities, easel painting, letter "T", sensory table, diapering and hand washing. A selection of staff and children records, medications and other documents were reviewed. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the violation notice. Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-191-40-D-1-C
Description: Based on record review, staff have not completed background checks before three years since the last checks. Evidence: Staff #1 has not updated their background checks, last update was 2013. Central registry dated 10/17/13, Criminal record check dated 10/2/13 and sworn statement dated 10/15/13.

Plan of Correction: The staff is from a sub pool, paperwork managed by another person. Staff will get fingerprinting and complete sworn statement today. The central registry form will be completed and mailed today. Fingerprinting appointment scheduled for 2/5/18.
