Background check requirements were reviewed.
The licensing inspector conducted an unannounced monitoring inspection from 10:30 a.m. until noon at the center and from 1:30 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the main office to review records. There were 13 children in care with 3 staff supervising at all times. The children were observed getting ready for lunch, going to lunch and eating lunch, at circle time, and preparing for naps. Five children?s records were reviewed. Board officer background checks were reviewed at the main office. An area of non-compliance is identified on the violation notice. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-270-A Description: Based on observation, the center did not maintain equipment is an operable condition. Evidence: 1. The inspector observed a blue plastic floor board that had come loose on the piece of play equipment. 2. The inspector observed a gap in the wall to the left of the toilet that had come loose and had started to rust. Plan of Correction: The director will notify maintenance to get the items fixed.
