A subsidy Health and Safety Inspection was conducted on February 7, 2018 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. Licensing Inspector arrived during the after-care portion of the program arriving at 2:50pm and departed at 4:40pm to conduct a Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection. The children were observed arriving to the program from school, talking freely amongst themselves and doing various tabletop activities to include legos, homework, reading books, playing board games and coloring. There were 18 children present with two staff members. Five children's records were reviewed during this inspection. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-033-F Description: Based on observation and inspection of the facility, the vendor did not ensure that staff who prepare and serve food to children, or supervise meals, shall be aware of the food allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions for each child. Evidence: The staff present were not aware of all of the food allergies, sensitivities and dietary restrictions for Child #2. Plan of Correction: Staff will be sure to closely review each child's file so that we are aware of all food allergies, sensitivities and dietary restrictions.
Standard #: VENDSUB-000-004-F Description: Based on observation and inspection of the facility, the vendor did not post with parental approval or keep in a way that was immediately accessible to staff, a current list of all children's allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions. Evidence: The record for Child #2 was reviewed and the center had not posted all of the child's allergies, sensitivities and dietary restrictions. Plan of Correction: The site director will add the allergies, dietary restrictions and sensitivities to the list today.
