An unannounced subsidy health and safety monitoring inspection was conducted from 2:15 p.m.-4:30 p.m. with the center director. 59 children, ages 10 months through 5 years old, were under the care and supervision of eight staff. Children were observed eating afternoon snack and listening to a readaloud. Afternoon snack served today was graham crackers and apple slices. Required information was posted. Both the fire and health inspections are current. The last emergency escape drill was 1/17/18; the last lockdown drill was 10/11/17; and the last shelter-in-place drill was 12/8/17. One medication, five children's records, and five staff records were reviewed. A licensing monitoring inspection was also conducted (see separate report). For any questions about this inspection, please contact licensing inspector Marty Quade at (540) 272-5065 and Marty.Quade@dss.virginia.gov.
