Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-L
Description: Based on interview and record review, the center did not notify a parent of a minor injury before the end of the day. Evidence: A child in the Infant classroom received a scratch on her chin at approximately 11:00 am. An injury report was not filled out and the parent was not notified of the injury. At the time of pick-up the parent inquired about the scratches. An injury report was completed at 4:20 pm at the time of pick-up.

Plan of Correction: I've already begun coaching the teachers on completing accident reports when injuries happen. We also have a staff training on Monday and this will be added to our list of topics to be reviewed.
