Today an unannounced Monitoring Inspection took place between the hours of 12:30pm and 2:30pm. At the start of the inspection there were a total of 20 children with 4 staff in 1 classroom; all ratios were incompliance. A total of 5 children?s files and 4 staff files were reviewed. The children were observed water-color painting, playing in the water sensory table, practicing tracing and having circle time. Today's snack is veggie straws and cheese sticks. Standard #: 22VAC40-185-60-A Description: Based on record review, children's records did not contain all required information. Evidence: Child #2 file did not contain street addresses for both emergency contacts. Child #5 file did not contain a second emergency contact. Plan of Correction: We'll get them corrected this week.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-550-D Description: Based on record review, the center did not practice monthly evacuation drills. Evidence: There is no documentation of a fire drill being practiced during the month of December or January. Plan of Correction: It was practiced in January but wasn't documented.
