An unannounced monitoring inspection was done today 2/21/2018 beginning at 6:20 A.M. and ending at 8:30 A.M . There were thirty three children present today. The children were observed today during arrival, coloring, table games, morning snack. During the inspection five children's and eleven staff's records were reviewed. Discussion with site director: program leader training and documentation, annual training hours for staff.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-160-C Description: Based on review of 10 staff's records, the center failed to ensure that all staff had TB screening within 2 years of days. Evidence: 1. Staff # 2 most recent TB screening was 2/11/2016 . Plan of Correction: The entire program is scheduled for TB screenings on 2/27/2018.
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-500-A Description: Based on observation, the center failed to ensure that all children washed their hands prior to eating their morning snack. Evidence: 1. Observed two children bringing in breakfast from home and not washing their hands prior to eating the food at the program. Plan of Correction: The director will make sure that all children will use a disposable wipe in the morning.
