Comments:
An unannounced renewal study was conducted today with the director, who was present with two additional teachers and eight preschoolers. The children were engaged in activity time which the theme of the day being the letter "Q" therefore the children were making quilts. During the inspection the children went on a hike with their goal being to look for signs of Spring. One child had emergency medication on site. Twelve children and four staff files were reviewed today. Arrival time: 9:30 am Departure time: 11:15 am

Violations:
Standard #: 22VAC40-185-80-A
Description: Based on a review of record keeping and interviews with staff, it was determined that the center is not maintaining a written record of children in attendance each day. Evidence: There was no written record of the eight children present at the center.

Plan of Correction: We will make sure to maintain attendance record of the children as they arrive at the center.
