Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 9:00am-11:00am. At the time of inspection, 82 children (two years through five years) were directly supervised by 16 staff and ratios were in compliance. The sample size consisted of 5 children records and 5 staff records. There was an adequate number of staff with current certification in medication administration, CPR and First Aid, as well as daily health observation training. Children were observed during arrival, engaged in group play with a variety of manipulatives, and reading stories with the teachers. Two classrooms were celebrating birthdays today and parents were visiting the children. There was an abundant supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. If you have any questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector at megan.smith@dss.virginia.gov
