Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on March 5, 2018 to review supplemental health and safety requirements.
The director was present for the inspection. In Classroom A there were 12 children with 2 staff; in Classroom B there were 13 children with 2 staff and a volunteer; in Head Start 1 there were 13 children with 2 staff; and in Head Start 2 there were 15 children with 2 staff. All of the children were engaged in various activities which included blocks, construction, coloring, reading, and housekeeping play. Eight children's files and 5 staff files were reviewed. Emergency drills had been documented. Medication was on site with the required authorizations.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
