A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on March 5, 2018 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. This on site visit was from 10:50 a.m. through 3:30 p.m. Upon arrival, there were fifty children in the care of twelve staff. Five children's records were reviewed. Fifeteen staff records and four Board officer records were reviewed and updated. No medication is being administered at this time. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Areas observed were: music, story time, free choice activities, hand washing/bathroom and diapering procedures, lunch, nap and snack. Interactions with the staff and children were observed as positive and the children seem comfortable with the daily routine and schedule. Please contact me at (540) 430-9256 if you have any question and/or if I may be of assistance with licensing standards.
A compliance history is in no way a rating for a facility.
The online compliance history includes only information after July 1, 2003. In addition, the online compliance history includes information regarding adverse actions that may be the subject of a pending appeal. An adverse action is not final until a provider has exhausted or waived all due process rights. For compliance history prior to July 1, 2003, or information regarding the status of pending adverse actions, please contact the Licensing Inspector listed in the facility's information. The Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) is not responsible for any errors in or omissions from the compliance history information.Virginia Quality is a voluntary quality rating and improvement system for early care and education facilities serving children ages birth through pre-K. Eligible child care facilities must be fully licensed, licensed exempt and a VDSS subsidy vendor, or a voluntary registered day home and a VDSS subsidy vendor. Only programs enrolled in Virginia Quality will display a rating. Virginia Quality contact information for your region is available at the following link Regional Contacts.
